YOU HAVE JUST DISCOVERED ONE OF THE MOST FAITHFULLY AUTHENTIC AND COLORFUL BLUES BANDS ON THE CIRCUIT TODAY.

YOU MAY RECOGNIZE THE NAME

"CHICAGO CHARLIE & THE BUSINESSMEN"

As they have played together for the last 40 forty years, and have been the band behind the legendary Chicago blues man Homesick James.

Chicago Charlie was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1957.This is where he

honed his blues harmonica skills. The “Fathers” of the  blues took him under their wings and taught him first hand how  and when to play.

Chicago Charlie earned the blues he plays.

He was Homesick James’ main harp player for years.

He played the Chicago Blues Festival along with his own band

“The Businessmen.” Chicago Charlie also played at the first nine Helena Blues Festivals along with other festivals across the U.S.

“Sunshine” Sonny Payne said he was "The closest to playing like

Sonny Boy Williamson II I have ever heard" and "His style was unlike any I have ever known. It’s definitely his own style. It’s the real blues.”
